Alex de Minaur: Australian Tennis Star on the Rise

Early Life and Career

Alex de Minaur was born in Sydney, Australia, on February 17, 1999. He began playing tennis at the age of seven and quickly showed promise. By the age of nine, he was being coached by Spanish coach Adolfo Gutierrez.

Professional Success

De Minaur turned professional in 2015 and has since achieved significant success on the ATP Tour. He reached a career-high singles ranking of No. 7 in June 2024 and has won several ATP titles, including the Sydney International in 2019 and the Atlanta Open in 2021.

Coaching Staff

De Minaur has been working with Gutierrez since childhood. In 2023, he added former Australian Davis Cup player Peter Luczak to his coaching staff. This move is expected to further enhance his game and help him achieve even greater success.
