University of Florida President Ben Sasse's Salary and Compensation
Base Salary and Annual Raise
The University of Florida's Board of Governors has approved a base salary of $1 million for Ben Sasse, the newly hired president of the university system. Sasse is eligible for an annual raise of up to 4%, which means his salary could increase to $1,040,000 by the end of his first year.
Additional Compensation
In addition to his base salary, Sasse will receive a $200,000 annual retention bonus for each year he completes on the job. He is also eligible for a performance bonus of up to 15% of his base salary if he meets certain performance goals.
Total Annual Compensation
With these additional compensation factors, Sasse's total annual compensation could reach $1,390,000 if he receives the maximum annual raise and meets the performance bonus goals.
